
This chart will help you understand how much insulin is still on board, working, after giving an injection of Quick Acting Insulin. It is important to understand how much quick acting insulin is actively working for up to 4 hours after a dose is given as to avoid "stacking" insulin. Stacking puts you at increased risk for hypoglycemia.
